What is Cacao?
Cacao is essentially raw, unprocessed chocolate. This food that we all know and love goes through many stages in becoming what we recognise to be our favourite chocolates, losing many of its nutritional benefits along the way. Cacao itself is actually a natural superfood – filled with antioxidants, helping to boost our circulation & promoting happy hormones that improve our mood. It is said to open the heart 💛
Cacao has a rich history – The ancient Mayans and Aztecs used cacao as medicine for centuries, and the seeds were even used as currency. Considered a sacred drink, it was often used in ceremonies.
✨Join me for a nourishing evening of Restorative Yoga, Nidrā, Sound Healing & the magic of Cacao✨
We will begin with connection to our breath & gentle movements to ease into our bodies, blended with moments of deeply restful stillness. With the use of bolsters for support, we spend a little time settling into the poses. Feeling fully held and supported, allowing the body to completely relax and let go of any tensions. Healing hands offer connection, with gentle assists to lovingly guide you & elements of Thai Yoga massage for deep relaxation.
Surrendering to deep rest, as we welcome ourselves to the liminal space of Yoga Nidrā (Yogic Sleep) – An effortless state of being, between sleep and wakefulness. Nidrā is a healing, transformative practice, offering complete physical, mental & emotional relaxation. This guided meditation allows you to drift into layers of consciousness, a dream-like experience.
Naturally flowing into a Sound Bath, with waves of soothing sounds and deeply healing vibrations from Tibetan singing bowls & other instruments. The gentle, yet powerful harmonies allow you to settle into a natural state of meditation, creating a deep sense of peace & tranquility, perfectly complementing our Nidrā.
Gently awakening to our Cacao.
Time to journal, set intentions or just be.
(We always said chocolate is grounding, right?!)
